Methods To Pay The Central Bank Of India Credit Card Bill Online
- NEFT: One of the most common methods of credit card payment is NEFT. You can pay through NEFT if you do hold an account with the Central Bank of India or if you hold a savings account in any other bank as well. Here are the steps which need to be followed to pay your credit card bill through NEFT.
- Central Bank Of India Mobile Banking: Another method by which you can pay your credit card bill is through mobile banking. It is a dedicated service which is provided by Central Bank of India for its customers. In order to pay your credit card bill through mobile banking, here are the few steps you need to follow:
- Log in to the mobile app of Central Bank of India and click on the credit card tab. A list of options will appear from which you will have to select 'credit card'.
- After you have selected the credit card payment, you will have to register your credit card by entering the card number and the IFSC code.
- Only after the card is registered, you will be allowed to make your credit card payment.
- You will have to enter the bill amount and click on the payment option. The money will be debited from your account and you will receive an e-mail confirmation about the same.
- Central Bank of India Net banking: Net Banking is available for all the customers who hold an account with the bank. Payment through net banking is also available for the customers who do not hold a Central Bank of India account. Here are the steps you need to follow in order to pay your credit card bill through net banking.
- You will need to log in to your Central Bank of India account or your savings bank net banking account.
- If you hold a CBI account, you will have to select the 'credit card' tab and click on your registered credit card. If you have not registered your credit card, you will need to add your credit card number and other details to register it. Payment cannot be done if registration is not done.
- After this, you will need to add the bill amount and click on the 'pay' option. The money will then be debited from your account and you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
- If you do not hold a CBI account, you will have to log in to your net banking account and click on the credit card tab.
- Once you do, you must click on the 'pay' option. It is important to note that you will have to register your card. Once your credit card is registered, you can enter the amount and pay the bill.
- RTGS: RTGS or Real Time Gross Settlement is a form of online payment for your credit card bill. RTGS payment is only applicable for large transactions, i.e., if your credit card bill is more than Rs.2 lakh per day.In this method, you will have to log in to your net banking service and register your credit card. Once your credit card is registered, you can click to pay your bill amount by selecting RTGS payment. RTGS is a type of payment which is offered by all net banking services.
- Auto-debit: One of the most common methods of payment of credit card bill is auto-debit. It is available for the people who hold CBI savings account as well as customers who hold a savings account in other banks.In this method, the payment for the credit card is automatically debited from your savings account on the due date. You can opt for the auto-debit form of payment while applying for a credit where you submit your savings account details such as the account number. Once done, at the end of the billing cycle, Central Bank of India will debit the bill amount directly from your savings account. If you opt for an auto-debit method of payment in the middle of the month, the bill amount will be subjected to auto-debit from the following month.
- UPI: You will need to register yourself through the BHIM app which is available on Google's Play Store in order to pay your credit card bill through UPI. Here are the steps which need to be followed to pay your credit card bill with UPI:
- Download BHIM app through the phone.
- Activate BHIM with the mobile number, registered with your bank accounts once you download the app.
- You will need to create a UPI account along with a security pin in order to make it more secure.
- You will be required to add your bank account which you would want to use for credit and debit transactions through UPI from the list of attached bank accounts with your mobile number.
- BillDesk: BillDesk is another method by which you can pay your credit card. It is an online website which allows you to make all kinds of payments from electricity bills to telephone bills along with mobile and gas payments as well. To pay your credit card bill through BillDesk, here are some of the steps you need to follow:
- Register with BillDesk. Once you do, you can receive bills and make online payments.
- After which, you will have to choose your billers and payees from whom you would want to receive your bills through an e-mail.
- Every month when the biller raises your bill, you will get an e-mail about the same.
- Once you receive an e-mail copy of your bill through the website, you can authorize BillDesk to pay the bill amount of your credit card and also the time at which the payment is to be made.
- After the payment is made, you will get an e-mail confirmation about the same.
Methods To Pay The Central Bank Of India Credit Card Bill Offline
- Draft: The credit card payment can also be done through a demand draft. The demand draft will need to have your credit card number or account number and the bill amount. It must be submitted at the branch of Central Bank of India. A draft payment takes up to 3 working days to get cleared.
- Cheque Payment: An offline method of payment which most people prefer to pay their credit card bill is through cheque. CBI and non-CBI account holders have the provision to pay the bill by cheque. You, as a credit cardholder, will need to write a cheque stating the credit card account number, the date as well as the bill amount. Once done, you can submit the cheque directly at your bank branch or even at a nearby drop box.
- Cash: In order to pay your credit card bill through cash, you will need to visit the bank branch. If you do not hold a Central Bank of India savings account, you will have to visit your savings bank branch and fill out a cash deposit slip. In the slip, you will have to mention the credit card account number, the date, the bill amount as well as the denomination of the notes you will be paying with. Once the form is filled, you will be required to submit it to the bank teller in order to process the payment.
- ATM: You can also pay your credit card bill at any Central Bank of India ATM. You will have to visit the ATM and select the option 'deposit' and not withdrawal. Once you do, you will have to enter the credit card number or the account number. You will have to deposit the bill amount and click on submit. It is advised to check the ATM and if it accepts deposits.
- NEFT: NEFT is also available through offline modes of credit card bill payment. Here, you will have to visit the bank branch of CBI or your savings account branch in case you do not hold a Central Bank of India account. Once you visit the bank branch, you will have to speak with a bank official and they will help you make the payment.
- Phone Banking: Phone banking is an option which can be used to pay the credit card bill of Central Bank of India. Call the customer care and give your credit card number, bill amount, savings account number, and IFSC code from which the money will be debited. 1.Can I make a partial payment towards a credit card bill via the CBI online gateway?
Yes, customers can choose to make either partial or full payments towards the credit card outstanding. The payment shall be credited within three working days from the payment date if it is completed successfully.
2.Do I have to pay any fee to use the NEFT or online gateway facility?
You will not be required to pay for the online gateway facility for credit card bill payment. In case of NEFT, no fee is levied from the bank's side for bill payments.
3.What should I do if I encounter a transaction failure, but the amount has been debited already from my account?
If the amount has been debited from your account but has not been applied to the credit card account even after three working days, contact the bank with the transaction reference number. If the transaction is not reflected in the credit card account, a reversal of transfer will be initiated. However, to avoid the penalty, it is suggested that you make payment through alternate means before the end of due date.
4.Is my credit card bill payment transaction carried out securely?
Yes, every transaction is carried out with maximum security through SSL technology. The date is encrypted when it is sent across channels so that it can't be viewed by any unauthorized third party.
