  • A Subject of Nepal/Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India prior to 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in the country
  • A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who migrated from countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma, Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zaire, and Zambia with the intention of permanently settling in the country.

IBPS PO Educational Qualification 2026:

Candidates must have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.

IBPS PO Age criteria:

  • Candidates of SC/ST and OBC category can apply for two accumulative exemptions
